The 4th Milk Festival «Cows Graze Over the River...»

Onthe 2nd of September the suburbs of
Ryazan will for the fourth time become the location for the most health-giving
fest — the Milk Festival «Cows
Graze Over the River...». It is the major gastronomic event of the
All the guests of the fest will be traditionally
welcomed by a glass of milk. From 12
p.m. to 4 p.m visitors are invited to various thematic locations. On the
Milk Exchange one will be able to buy milk products from the Ryazan producers.
The Milk Restaurant will offer different treats. In the Milk Village one will
be able to get acquainted with the villagers, take part in interactive games
and master classes and purchase souvenirs.
The peculiar place in the festival's program will
traditionally belong to a cow parade. A procession of decorated cows can leave
no one indifferent. Organizers try to amaze guests with something unusual, thus
the theme of the parade is always changed. This time it will be dedicated to
the Year of Ecology in Russia. Viewers will also be able to participate in
creation of costumes. For this the participants will be divided into 6 teams of
6 people each. Together they will weave wreaths and other decorations for cows
from grass and flowers. The winners will be chosen through voting as usual. All
the participants will get prizes.
Sport lovers will enter the milk running. The distance
is a zigzag trail of 250 meters with obstacles. Family couples are invited to
participate. The distance must be covered with the wife on the back or in the
hands of the husband. Winners will get valuable prizes: a refrigerator with two
chambers for the 1st place, a refrigerator with one chamber for the 2nd place
and a freezer for the 3rd place.
The youngest visitors will be invited to the location
of the Ryazan Puppet Theatre. The actors will introduce the fairy-tale
«The Wolf and Seven Little Goats». The festive atmosphere will be
created by the cover group «HotStuff».
